Hi All,
Just a quick question to ask, if any of you guys have made a cookie wp pop up acceptance plugin/script for your websites yet?

Greetings Ian Clevett,
Thank you for this great question!
I have no input into this subject though I shall let the ticket float awhile hoping for community input for you. I will also move it to a different section since I do not think that you will get much input here in the feedback and features section and it would be better to be in the plugins section.
Thank God my servers are all in the US!
Looking forward though for some possible community input here.
Cheers, Joe

Thanks Joe that would be great! I wish my servers where in the US too but then my gambling sites wouldnt work ;-)
My next project is to integrate Buddypress with my gambling website upon which I will keep you all posted.
Any ways look forward to seeing some peoples ideas/views on this!
p.s can i get some points ? for adding quite an important question to the community? I am on the long quest for life time membership!
Best
Ian

Greetings Ian Clevett,
I hear and can relate to that!
I live in Sofia and have servers here too, but I bet no matter what the EU clowns, criminals, unelected dolts, and the circus in Brussels has to say, they don't have a snowballs chance in hexx touching us here regarding cookies or the like and they know it .... lmao
Bulgaria - still the land of the free! Since 1997! V for Vendetta!
But I certainly understand about the gambling sites and in my case running servers on both sides of the big pond and being in the right jurisdiction for the right ventures so to speak.
Anyway that ranting was fun while it lasted ... lol
Come on community, someone must have an idea for Ian to get himself in the legal with his popup's?
We look forward to hearing about a solution.
Cheers, Joe

There are a number of plugins out there to achieve this but we do have a pop up plugin:
http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/the-pop-over-plugin/
You could use that to put any message you wish then. You could create an image for it or text.
Some other options:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/eu-cookie-law/
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/cookie-law-info/
I'm in the EU as well and think this law is a little silly it doesn't stop criminals it just gives end users another distraction to ignore when they come to your site. anywhooo.
Hope this helps.
