Scholar is a theme designed to work for heavy content sites and communities. It’s highly configurable to allow you to easily deal with a lot of content on your site and highlight featured categories.

Scholar is designed to put your content first with featured categories and home page spotlight sections along with a featured category slideshow. It also focuses heavily on your community with strong member activity and forum themeing. BuddyPress Scholar also comes not only with the default color scheme but 6 more styles each with custom image elements to keep the high impact design. If one of those preset styles doesn't fit then you can easily create your own just by using our easy color picker.

BuddyPress Scholar comes with 4 page templates: full width, sidebar left, sidebar right and 3 columns. The home page is already set up and you can link up the sections using our easy to use theme options. The home page has a configurable on/off slideshow, site message area, social media links and a whole host of options to select categories to feature the content from your main site. BuddyPress Scholar comes with a range of widget areas including 4 in the footer. You also get a cracking blog and news template you can link up to show the latest from your blog. You can even have a site wide advert to link to another site and make money on your site or advertise a service. You can also brand your site using the easy to add logo upload that fits either a square or rectangle logo.

BuddyPress Scholar features WPMU DEV's images without custom fields function. This pulls through the first image in your post automatically and you can even set the size of this in the configurable feature category sections. It is set to be a background image to a html element so is fast, simple and elegant without the hassle of custom fields.
