WordPress Terms Of Service Plugin

This plugin places a Terms of Service box on the signup form forcing the user to tick the associated checkbox in order to continue.

Now compatible with BuddyPress too!

There is also a function available to place the TOS on a page on your main site.

Extremely useful for letting people know what they are signing up for – and also another barrier against automated splog creation.

Activate the plugin:

On regular WordPress installs – visit Plugins and Activate the plugin.
For WordPress Multisite installs – visit Network Admin -> Plugins and Network Activate the plugin.

To Use

1. Go to Network Admin -> Settings -> Terms of Service

or Settings -> Terms of Service in single install of WordPress w/BuddyPress

2. Enter the terms of services you’d like visitors to agree to before they can create a site or username and then click Save Changes.

After this, your sign up field will now be modified (remember to log out to see it in all its glory), and if visitors don’t agree to your Terms of Service then no sites for them!
