Configuring the General Settings of your BuddyPress Community

BuddyPress General SettingsOn the BuddyPress Settings page, you have options that you can leave as the default settings or selectively disable to suit the needs of your network.  Remember to click the Save Settings button at the bottom of the page if you make any changes.

Hide Admin Bar for Logged out User

You use this if you want to hide the BuddyPress Admin bar from logged out Users.

Disable User Account Deletion

By default, users are allowed to delete their own account within your community.

Disable Global Forum Directory

By default, the Global Forum Directory displays on your site.  If you prefer to disable it select Yes.

Disable activity stream commenting on blog and forum posts?

By default,  members are able to comment directly on blog and forum posts in the activity stream.  If you select disable, this means they have to comment directly on blog posts and within a group forum.  Leaving it enabled means that you are allowing members to choose where they would rather engage in the conversation.
