Add Columns to WordPress Posts Without a Shortcode

Adding columns to a WordPress post or page can be a real pain, especially if you’re not skilled with CSS. There are several plugins out there that let you create columns using a shortcode, but the new Advanced WP Columns plugin takes a different approach. It adds a button to the WordPress editor that launches a much simpler interface for adding columns. You can easily select the number of columns and the width of the gutters and containers:

Save your content in the Advanced WP Columns Manager window and you’ll see your columns on the the frontend:

The plugin allows you to add your own custom CSS class for the columns wrapper div, the single columns and even the gutter columns. Advanced WP Columns is available for free from the WordPress plugin repository. Add it to your site to start including some more interesting layouts with columns.
