Get in on the Google Summer of Code with WordPress

It’s that time of year again – preparation for Google Summer of Code! The WordPress project is participating as a mentoring organization again this year. If you need a good idea for a proposal, check out the list in the codex that the WordPress team has prepared.

Requirements for Applicants:

To apply for a GSoC slot working with WordPress, you should be proficient in PHP (and JavaScript if your project involves a significant amount of front-end code), and have familiarized yourself with the WordPress codebase.

If you’re interested in applying for a WordPress-related project, go to the GSoC2011 codex page for information on how to apply. We’ll be keeping track of the projects and reporting on wpmu.org, so make sure you’re subscribed!
