Remove Extra Fields in the Default WordPress Profile

It’s easier to get your users to fill out their profile if they aren’t presented with a long form full of fields they probably don’t need. Here’s an example of removing the ones that people tend not to use. However, you can alter it to suit your users’ need. Add this to your functions.php file:
