Flux Slider Brings CSS3 Elegance to WordPress
Joe decided to take Nivo even further, using powerful CSS3 techniques to develop a slider with cross-platform awesomeness: Flux was born.
I’ve got to admit – when we were emailled about a slider I was all “not another slider!” but I was really surprised. It’s rarely that I installed a slider and I don’t have a problem, but Flux worked seamlessly.
It is unbelievably easy to use. Just create a new slider and upload images. You can drag and drop them into order:
The Flux WordPress plugin has just the right settings too, to enable you to create the slider that you need:
- Stunning CSS3 transitions
- Easy to use admin interface
- Automatic image resizing and cropping
- Ability to customise a sliders height and width
- Pagination controls
- Next/previous buttons
- Autoplay control

The plugin costs $15 and I think it’s a bargain. It’s the first real competitor to the Nivo slider that I’ve seen. You can check it out in action here.
