RAMP Brings Easy Content Deployment to WordPress
Crowd Favorite has launched a new commercial product that brings an extra layer of security and professionalism to the process of deploying content to WordPress. This is an exciting new tool for the WordPress power user who is always publishing new content.
What is RAMP and how does it work?
RAMP is a plugin that you install on both your staging and production sites. After you generate an authorization key on your production site and add the URL and key to your staging site, you’re set all set to have the two communicate back and forth.
You are then able to use it to test and create content to send in organized batches to your production site.
For example, let’s say you’re rolling out an entire catalog of custom post types for a university or a whole line of new products for a store powered by WordPress. RAMP gives you the ability to schedule and push out all of this content at once.
Current data types supported by RAMP:
- Custom Post Types
- Custom Taxonomies
RAMP helps you to deploy virtually any kind of content that WordPress can create.
One Click Rollback for When Changes Don’t Work Out
This is probably one of my favorite features of RAMP – the ability to rollback the changes that you’ve already committed. It actually works with the built-in WordPress revision system to provide easy, granular roll-backs, even changes made to custom fields.
Maybe you like to tinker with your site and experiment with new settings and content. The consequences of this can be grave if you haven’t made regular backups. If you’re tired of breaking your website and not knowing how to undo all the changes you’ve made, then RAMP might be a good safeguard for you.
RAMP is priced at $99 per staging/production server pair and it comes with support forums as well as full documentation. Stop copying and pasting between windows from your staging site. RAMP makes it easy to start publishing in an efficient and professional way.
