Two New WordPress and BuddyPress Review Themes Available on Themeforest

Last week Themeforest announced that they are now accepting BuddyPress themes. The theme market now has two BuddyPress-compatible WordPress themes available specifically for the purpose of creating a review site.

These two themes are by the same author but have a few stylistic and functional differences.

Score: WordPress & BuddyPress Review Theme

The Score theme utilizes the GD Star Rating WordPress plugin for reviews. It includes options to filter reviews and order them by score, date and title.

Notable features, besides full BuddyPress-support, include:

  • Follow Posts – Follow posts (games) and have them show up in your front-end profile
  • Lots of Useful Shortcodes – Columns, Audio/Videos, Contact Form, Dividers, Tabs and more…View Here
  • Commercial JW video player – An excellent video player that comes with a commercial license worth $80, supports self hosted audio/videos (FLV, MP4 , MP3 , HTML5) and YouTube
  • Full Localisation Support – Contains .po/.mo files for language translation
  • Individual Page/Post Customisation – Change various layout options on each individual page (or globally if you want)
  • Unlimited Sidebars – Create as many sidebars as you want and assign them to individual posts/pages

ReviewIt: Review & Community WordPress Theme

ReviewIt also utilizes the GD Star Rating WordPress plugin for reviews. While it shares many of the same features of the Score theme, ReviewIt has a few more unique features. It includes custom post types for reviews and slides. ReviewIt is also different from the Score theme in that it allows you to easily change the review tags. You can switch the site from movies to games, apps or whatever you want.
