Do you need automated reports for your site or you wish to send your clients elegant white label monthly reports that will demonstrate to them the ongoing commitment you have to their sites?

Well, we got you covered, and much more as Reports service will create and send a comprehensive report about Updates, Security, Backups, Performance, SEO, and Uptime directly to your desired email!

TO GET STARTED

For Reports to be available, for your chosen domain, you first need to connect it to your Hub https://premium.wpmudev.org/docs/getting-started/add-a-site-to-the-hub/.

Connected your site? Excellent, let’s go straight into setting up Reports.

Go to https://premium.wpmudev.org/hub/my-websites/, expand your chosen domain, click on the “Reports” tab and then on the “Create report” button.

SERVICES

First, you need to select which features you wish to include in your report and to install plugins necessary for those features.

We recommend that you install and enable all the available features as these are the most important services for managing your site. Once done, proceed by clicking on the “Continue button”.

SCHEDULE

Reports can be generated and sent on a regular basis or just created once off (which you achieve by disabling the schedule).

Scheduled reports are sent on a Weekly or a Monthly basis and the time presented here is picked up from the Time zone set at your account https://premium.wpmudev.org/hub/account/#hub-my-account-timezone (so navigate here if you need to change your Timezone).

Once chosen, click on the “Continue” button.

CUSTOMIZE

Here you can brand your report (or keep it as WPMU DEV), choose the language you want your Report sent in, Color, Title, Type of report, etc. – so let’s go through all the options and explain what they do.

Report language

All Reports will be generated in English (US) by default, but you can change that and generate your report in one of 20+ different languages straight out of the box!

Is your language not available? Contribute to translations here https://premium.wpmudev.org/translate/projects/hub-reports/.

Date Format

By default, a report will be stamped with a date and time in MMMM DD, YYYY [at] h:mma – which translates to January 01, 2018 at 00:00 am.

The most widely used formats are:

  • day-month-year (DMY) – DD MMMM YYYY which translates to 01 January 2018
  • year-month-day (YMD)  YYYY MMMM DD which translates to 2018 January 01
  • month-day-year (MDY) – MMMM DD YYYY which translates to January 01 2018
  • year-day-month (YDM) – YYYY DD MMMM which translates to 2018 01 January

The above can be modified using separators for the components:

  • /” – stroke (slash)
  • .” – dots or full stops/points (periods)
  • ” – hyphens or dashes
  • ” ” – spaces
  • “,” – commas

For example, writing MM/DD/YYYY will give you 01/01/2018.

Day, Month and Year can be additionally tweaked, per your liking as:

  • DD – a two-digit day of the month, e.g. 02
  • “DDD” – three-letter abbreviation for a day of the week, e.g. Tue
  • “DDDD” – a day of the week spelled out in full, e.g. Tuesday
  • MM – a two-digit month, e.g. 04
  • MMM – three-letter abbreviation for a month, e.g. Apr
  • MMMM – month spelled out in full, e.g. April
  • YY – a two-digit year, e.g. 18
  • YYYY – a four-digit year, e.g. 2018
