3 Things for my Site Please (Shortcodes & Receipt Message)

Have just bought and downloaded this plugin and it seems to tick quite a few boxes for me, certainly compared to the other dozen I have tried over last few months !

But 3 things I need help with please;

I am using a theme with Visual Composer. When creating a new page using VC, your shortcodes icon disappears; am I missing something? Do you have a one page document or reference with all the available shortcodes?

Secondly, speaking of shortcodes, how can I create a grid of all my campaigns (like Indiegogo or Kickstarter) - ideally I would like to add featured image, goal and progress bar but remove the reward levels at this stage and have a simple summary box that clicks through to main campaign?

Finally (and forgive me as I haven't actually tried this yet), when someone pledges or donates to a specific level or reward, will they receive a message and/or email receipt that references that specific reward level i.e. "Thank You, you have just bought T-Shirt (level 3)"

Thanks very much for your help
Neil

    Hi there @Neil

    Welcome to WPMU DEV, glad to have you aboard!

    For the Visual Composer issue, you can either

    - use the Fundraiser shortcode generator in the regular post editor on a different test page to generate your Fundraiser shortcodes, then copy/paste them to the page you're working on in Visual Composer.

    - or see the available shortcodes under Fundraising > Getting Started > Available Shortcodes.

    As for creating a grid of all your fundraisers, you would need to build that manually using shortcodes & a bit of CSS creativity. Here's a simple example of what you could do:
    http://fundraising.pcwriter.net/all-fundraisers/

    The trick is to use the Fundraiser progress bar shortcode, then add the other information manually, like the image & title. Then wrap each instance in a custom div container, and add some custom CSS to get it all looking purty.

    For example, I added the following to page on my test site here:
    http://fundraising.pcwriter.net/all-fundraisers/

    <div class="my-funder-grid">
    <h2><a href="http://fundraising.pcwriter.net/fundraisers/first/">First</a></h2>
    <a href="http://fundraising.pcwriter.net/fundraisers/first/"><img src="http://fundraising.pcwriter.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/22/2015/07/cat-printer-300x230.jpg" alt="cat-printer" width="300" height="230" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-15" /></a>
    [progress_bar id="4" show_totals="yes" style="wdf-basic"]
    </div>

    <div class="my-funder-grid">
    <h2><a href="http://fundraising.pcwriter.net/fundraisers/second/">Second</a></h2>
    <a href="http://fundraising.pcwriter.net/fundraisers/second/"><img src="http://fundraising.pcwriter.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/22/2015/09/cat-cam.jpg" alt="cat-cam" width="201" height="160" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8" /></a>
    [progress_bar id="7" show_totals="yes" style="wdf-basic"]
    </div>

    And this is the CSS I used to style the output as a grid:

    .my-funder-grid {border: 1px solid #ccc; display:inline-block; margin:10px; padding:10px;}
    .my-funder-grid p, .my-funder-grid h2 {margin:0;}
    .my-funder-grid img {height:150px; max-width:200px;}

    Finally, yes indeed your users can receive an email after making a pledge. That is set in each fundraiser you create. See the bottom of the editor screen for the Thank you message settings section.

    Note that the only placeholders available for both the on-screen thank you message and the email are:
    %DONATIONTOTAL%
    %FIRSTNAME%
    %LASTNAME%

    So there will be no information about the reward they have selected in those messages I'm afraid.

    I do hope this helps! And thanks for being a member

    sorry, a couple or more things, now that I have this grid working well:

    - as above, how can I bring in Days Left into each campaign in the grid
    - how can I remove the Pledge button that comes with the panel shortcode i.e. I want to take visitors to an interim page for each campaign with a custom button link
    - how do I remove the box that allows for a custom donation ("Choose an Amount") on the pledge page i.e. I only want payments as per the fixed reward level amounts.

    Thanks again

    Sajid

    Hi @Neil

    Hope you are doing good today

    - as above, how can I bring in Days Left into each campaign in the grid

    Try adding following code
    <?php wdf_time_left(true,$post->ID); ?>
    Below or after this code suggested by Patrick.
    [progress_bar id="4" show_totals="yes" style="wdf-basic"]

    I am sorry if I missed something in above replies.

    For other issues please always create separate topic for separate issues to get faster response and according to our forum posting rules.

    Take care and have a nice day
