404 lockouts

I have my 404 detection set to "Permanently ban 404 lockouts" but the mailing always says that they have been locked out for 300 seconds.
I'd like to know which one is right?
Thank you.

    Hi Sytze,

Hope you're doing well and thanks for your question.

I did some tests on my installation and I tried reducing the lockout time and enabled permanent ban, then got myself banned for 404 requests.
After the lockout time "expired" I was still banned, so the permanent ban does work.

I will have the developers check the email and see if it perhaps pull the wrong information when a permanent ban is selected.

    Best regards,
