accessing the site template of a sub-domain

Hey. I'm using a third-party plugin called Cometchat. The question isn't about Cometchat. It's about general Wordpress understanding.

I want their plug-in to run on ALL sub-sites of my multisite. They sent me * this * information FAQ:

https://support.cometchat.com/documentation/php/installing-cometchat/advanced/using-cometchat-across-multiple-subdomains/

I can find the first part, adjusting the cometchat config file. However, WHERE do I adjust the area right after the HEAD section of the sub-site template? And where do I adjust the sub-sites that i've already created?

As far as I consider it, this is a question about sub-sites and their HEADERS to achieve the effect that I want.

thanks!

    Hey @Griffin,

    Hope you're doing well today :slight_smile:

    I haven't used Cometchat before so I'm not sure about their network setup but based on the link provided you would need to edit your theme header.php file and add these lines after the <head> tag:

    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" media="all" href="http://www.yoursite.com/cometchat/cometchatcss.php" />
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.yoursite.com/cometchat/cometchatjs.php" charset="utf-8"></script>

    All your themes are located under wp-content/themes/ folder, regardless if they are being used on different sub-sites.
    You should now apply changes on all themes your sub-sites are using.
    For example, if you have Subsite1 which uses Theme1 and Subsite2 which uses Theme2 then you will need to edit both Theme1 and Theme2.
    If however both Subsite1 and Subsite2 use the same Theme1 you will need to make change only on that one theme.

    Hope this makes sense and helps with getting this to work :slight_smile:

    Best regards,
    Predrag
