The following quote ocured:
Your server had a problem connecting to WPMU DEV. Please try again.
If this problem continues, please contact your host and ask:
"Is php on my server properly configured to be able to contact with a GET HTTP request via fsockopen or CURL?"

Unfortunatly my server provider has no idea hat this meant, when I contacted their technical support.
Any ideas?

    Hi @Antakarana,

It does look like a problem with your server. This means your server can't communicate properly with our WPMU DEV update system. Sometimes hosts block outgoing HTTP requests (no outbound communication)

It's very surprising that a technical support rep didn't know what that meant. You should try again and ask to speak with one of their engineers. If they didn't, it's pretty clear that you were talking to someone who knows almost nothing about network troubleshooting and PHP.

If you have more trouble with them let me know. You can send me FTP and WordPress login info over email and I can take a look. I could at least confirm the problem, although I don't know if there's anything from this end that can be done to fix it.

If this is ok, just use the contact form:
    - Choose "I have a different question"
    - Include my name in the subject "Alexander Rohmann"
    - Include a link back to this thread
    - Include any relevant login information (FTP + WordPress admin)
