Absolutely love the BP Group Calendar Widget. It will solve a big hassel by allowing users to create events that are displayed on the homepage.
But in playing around, I found three improvements would greatly enhance the useability.
First, can you create a new "More info" field (below the text field) that would allow users to insert a URL, phone number or email? Most events have some sort of organizers or sign up and this would make it tremendously easy to find that.
Second, many events span more than one day. Is it possible to allow users to select more than one day for the event date?
Third, many events repeat. On my site it might be a weekly meeting, or by-monthly party. Giving folks the ability to create one entry that will appear regularly would be terrific.
