Admin bar showing blank on mobile browsers

I'm having a multisite running with buddypress and when I check my subsites on the pc with any internet browser (responsive and full screen) it works fine.

When looking on a mobile phone (Samsung S5 with Android) the admin bar shows up blank (just a dark bar actually).

Any suggestions on how to fix that?

Hope you are well and thanks for the question!

Unfortunately I don't have Android to test this.
Can you test with some of the default themes like Twenty Twelve to see if you are still getting the same behavior?

Hi Ivan,

It seems even with the twenty eleven theme activated it doesn't work. Same problem. The bar is there but nothing to see on a mobile device. When viewing with a normal internet browser on a pc and then resizing it to any size it does work.

Maybe you can check on a smartphone with an internet browser and see for yourself. (e.g. http://demo.careertiger.co.nz)

I can remember something in the pas after WP upgraded to v3.1 or something this happened and Patrick had a good point, just outdated now I guess.

I checked the themes and they all have the wp_footer etc.

Hi Ari,

I think it has something to do with the upgrade to a newer version of WP (Patrick told me this ones) Right after the whole responsive feature started to happen.
I have this issue with every Multisite I have setup since the old days (more then 3 years now)

Anyways... just thinking out loud and I have granted you the access on careertiger via the WPMU dev dashboard.

Hope you're doing well today!

It looks to me like it's been hidden by responsive CSS in your theme. You can fix it by doing this:
```
/* Show admin bar mobile ----------- */
@media only screen
and (max-width : 783px) {
#wpadminbar {
display: block !important;
}
}
```
Normally we wouldn't use the "!Important" declaration but sometimes it can be a necessary evil when overwriting styles.
