All links on my site were not shifted to https

Hi!

I'll just paste a question I've asked to the dev of one of my plugins and his answer, as this is the easiest way to explain the situation:

Another issue I've just detected: when I display those social buttons at Auction Pro pages, the tabs, like description, shipping, etc., stop working for non logged in users and also for super-admin (you can use them normally when logged in with that test account I've sent you the credentials for though). You can reproduce this issue by marking the "Page" box at that social buttons plugin settings, here: https://www.wheelofcommerce.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=mr_social_sharing

Response - I noticed that different tabs in dedicated auction page were not clickable and found that there is a plugin installed called Social Sharing Toolkit which is giving JS errors inside console. When this plugin is deactivated then shipping and tabs work fine. Hence this plugin is the culprit. I also noticed via JS errors that you might have shifted your site from http to https and all links on your site were not shifted from http to https and that is why Social Sharing Toolkit plugin is throwing JS errors. I would recommend you to solve those JS errors and then use Social Sharing Toolkit plugin or else use all together different plugin for social sharing.

How do I fix this?

Thanks.

    Hey Gabriel!

I hope you're well today and thank you for this question!

I've checked the Social Sharing Toolkit plugin and your site and I've found out that this plugin is making requests to external site (LinksAlpha) over http (unsecure connection). This means that most likely there's some kind of content loaded from this external site by the plugin and URLs are hardcoded to use unsecure (http instead of https) connection.

As much as I'd love to have better news for you, I'm pretty much afraid that there's not much can be done about it. That being said, could you please elaborate a bit on what features of this plugin do you use and what features are most important to you? I hope I'll be able to either pinpoint the weak side here (that could be later eliminated) or find a better solution for you.

    Thanks!
    Adam

    Thanks for answering.

I use the plugin for the social buttons you can see here:
    https://www.wheelofcommerce.com/coming-soon-page/

That's really all this plugin is for: the social buttons. If you know of a plugin that offers buttons for Facebook (especially the share function), Twitter, Instagram and/or Pinterest, Reddit, VKonekt and Xing, and that wouldn't cause me any issues, that'd be great, because I've been looking for one for a while now, and Social Sharing Toolkit is the closest I found to that description. Or, if you can recommend me something as close as possible to that, and that functions, that's okay too.

    Thanks.

    Hi @Gabriel,

I see that quite a few users of this plugin are complaining about this issue and saw that some of them reverted to version 2.1.4
Also, a possible solution has been provided here:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-fix-jquery-incompatibility

And you could check out this thread:

Hope some of these will work for you

    Best regards,
    Predrag

    Hi, man!

I'm not using that plugin anymore. Like I've said in my previous post:
"The only issue left now is the one regarding https, described below by Ultimate Auction's dev:

I also noticed via JS errors that you might have shifted your site from http to https and all links on your site were not shifted from http to https

I just don't know if that was caused by Social Sharing Toolkit, or if it's an independent issue. Can you check on that, please? Because I honestly have no idea how to know it.

    Thanks.
