Anti-Splog requiring two IP address in order to register API key

My domain is http://accountingpractitioner.com

This domain is hosted at Hostgator and was originally assigned assigned a shared IP address of 74.54.72.146/~kirkward

I was unable to register my API key using the IP address of 74.54.72.146

The API registration key page would not accept 74.54.72.146/~kirkward and I was unable to register the API key with that shared IP address.

Next, I upgraded my account to a dedicated IP address and was assigned an IP address of 74.53.203.93

When I attempted to register the API key with the IP of 74.53.203.93, I received an error message that I was trying to register from 74.54.72.146

So I attempted to use the IP address of 74.54.72.146, WPMUDEV gave an error message that I was attempting to register the API key from 74.53.203.93

When I attempted to register the API key from 74.53.203.93, WPMUDEV gave an error message that I was attempting to register the API key from 74.54.72.146

I was finally able to register the API key only after I entered both IP addresses with WPMUDEV. 74.54.72.146 and 74.53.203.93 were both required to be registered in order for the API key to work.

So, instead of having the ability to protect 5 sites with the API key, I may be limited to fewer.

Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but exposes a semi-defect in either the WPMUDEV Anti-Splog system or the Hostgator system. I don't know which.

Any suggestions on who should look at this?

Cheers, etc.
