Apparent conflict with Yoast SEO and Events+

ICal and Google Calendar download buttons were not showing on an event post After doing the plugin shuffle (deactivate/activate), the conflict seems to be Yoast SEO. When Yoast is deactivated the buttons show. Any suggestions?

    Hi marge ,

There is some sort of conflict on the_content filter.

Quickest way to solve this is to create an event template file in your child theme, so the_content filter will not be used by Events plugin. You can find a default events template to use in :
    events-and-bookings/default-templates/default/single-incsub_event.php

Although copying this file would not conflict, it will look like broken. So you need to adapt it to your child theme's structure. I noticed that you are using a theme called generatepress. I installed the free version and created a single template file which works nicely. I am attaching it here in case it works on your theme too. You can download he the attached file, unzip and upload to the theme's root folder and hopefully it would work.

If that file doesn't work, please share admin and ftp access so I can create that file for your theme.
You can send that privately through our contact form: https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/#i-have-a-different-question

    Send in:Subject: "Attn: Panos Lyrakis"

    - Admin login:
    Admin username
    Admin password
    Login url

    - FTP credentials
    host
    username
    password
    (and port if required)

    - link back to this thread for reference

Note that it is important to use a child theme, as in next theme update you will lose that file.

    Cheers!
