Appointments + No Customer email registration confirmation

Dear support,

I have been searching through the community forums for a solution to my problem. I have no idea what is causing the issue but when a customer creates an appointment on my website with auto confirmation enabled, myself or the customer receive no email confirmation that the appointment is booked or confirmed.

I have tried changing to smtp mailflow on WP with a plugin and still no result.

Please can you assist with this issue? I can give you remote access to login if required.

    Hello again @Nathan,
    I'm sorry for the delay on this post, it fell off my radar!

    SMTP can be troublesome depending on your server's configuration, open ports etc.
    Have you tried using a servise like http://mandrill.com/ ?
    They also have a plugin for WordPress: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wpmandrill/
    This will allow you to use mailchimp's API to send transactional emails, and completely bypass phpmail and SMTP.
    it's also free up to 12.000 emails/month, so that should be more than enough.

    Thanks for your help guys, I finally found out the problem with php and smtp mail-flow not working correctly with appointments plus customer notifications.

    This was due to a conflict with Templatic Wordpress theme conflicting with contact form 7 plugin used for the contact us page.

    I have removed the contact form 7 plugin and mail-flow works again with appointments plus.

    I have informed Templatic who are working to revise their theme as it was causing the notification side of appointments plus to fail also.
