At the moment, when a user signs up, they are first taken to the registration page located here:

http://50kfatloss.com/signup/?action=registeruser&subscription=1

Once they have created an account, they then choose their subscription and pay via paypal.

The problem we are having is many people are creating accounts but then not paying. This means we have many accounts that aren't paid accounts. Although they can't access the content even if they do login, it's a hassle.

How do we change the order, so they are required to pay first before they register?

    Hello there Jordan,

Greetings and thanks for posting on the forums.

The problem we are having is many people are creating accounts but then not paying. This means we have many accounts that aren't paid accounts. Although they can't access the content even if they do login, it's a hassle.

I agree and that is a pain. However the default process is how it currently works where a user would first register for an account and then against that account, it would send the payment request to the gateway and attach access to the users account once the subscription is paid for.

Changing that would require custom coding as it would be like rewriting the whole process.

As the users create an account and then simply don't pay and once they login, they are not able to access anything (which is what is supposed to happen as they don't have any paid subscription) but what you can do is create a visitor Level subscription and assign that to the users who are signed up for your site.

That ways, you can still tease them with some content and when they try to access more, you can ask them to upgrade to a higher paid plan.

I have however moved this to "Features and Feedback" section and sent a note to our lead developer to see if it can make a good feature for future release of this plugin where we can change the order of the registration as per our choice.

    Cheers
