Authorize.net transaction failed due to CIM

I've activated the Protected Content plugin on the Upfront Spirit theme. I configured the Authorize.net gateway for payment of a membership. When I sent in a real transaction, I got the error: "Payment failed due to CIM profile not created. Customer Information Manager is not enabled." I do not use CIM on my Authorize.net account, nor is this meant to turn CIM integration on my website. How do I remove this error?
