[Autoblog] Autoblog RSS featured image Google Alerts

I am trying to create an autoblog with the help of the Autoblog plugin and the Google Alerts RSS feed. Unfortunately, I can pull text and links but no featured images from the source. Could you help out? Thanks in advance.

    Hello Bob

    For AutoBlog to pull data from a source feed, that feed must have the data you wish to pull present in the XML itself. With Google Alert RSS Feeds, you get very little data to work with. You can see this in action by checking the following URL in Google Chrome https://www.google.com/alerts/feeds/10003435186623091118/10398622854272550114

    A sample entry follows:

    <title type="html">
    Must have free <b>WordPress</b> Plugins for Business sites
    <link href="https://www.google.com/url?rct=j&sa=t&url=https://themehunk.com/must-have-free-wordpress-plugins-for-business-sites/&ct=ga&cd=CAIyGmExYThkZTljMmU3MDQyZGE6Y29tOmVuOlVT&usg=AFQjCNGumXCUz72Vewo311RJfQRegJtrKg"/>
    <content type="html">
    Must have free <b>WordPress</b> Plugins for Business sites 2018. In this article you'll get knowledge about best tools that can be used in your <b>WordPress</b>&nbsp;...

    As you can see from the above, there's no images present and only the Title, Link, Excerpt (Content), Publish Date, Updated Date, and if present, Author are included in the XML.

    So, since the data you want to pull is not present in the XML, I'm afraid AutoBlog cannot pull it for you.

    I hope this clarifies a bit. Let us know if you have any further questions. We'll be happy to help! :slight_smile:

    Best regards,
