So, basically I’ve got a feed with multiple identical
<title>. For some weird reason, AutoBlog will not allow this and only take the most recent post of the duplicates and publish this. However, built in natively in WordPress there’s a feature that will allow duplicate titles (in this case, it’s the slug that matters) as long as the slug isn’t identical. If it is, and it will be since AutoBlog uses title for slug, it’d append -2.
So, having a
<title>test</title> AutoBlog would try to create a post named title with slug title. Having multiple titles, it should work as the native WP does, adding it to be title-2, but having the actual post_title as ‘title’.
If you get what I mean. This is really bugging me at the moment as my feed has a lot of “identical titles” and only the most recent one gets added.
Edit: wp_unique_post_slug( $slug, $post_ID, $post_status, $post_type, $post_parent ) is what I meant by WordPress doing this natively!
