Additional Questions But Making Progress. It seems that AutoBlog cant process all RSS Feeds but there is no way to test if a particular feed is going to work or not.

    Question 1
I Installed FeedWordPress and It Times out on http://www.gatech.edu/newsroom/rss/?fid=47302. This is an RSS Feed? Why can Neither FeedWordPress or AutoBlog Process This Feed?

    Question 2
Where can I Change the Layout that Autoblog uses when creating the post? The Image Is Right Next to the Text.

    Question 3
Even with the "Use Full Post Enabled I Only Get the Image and the First paragraph, Why?

    Question 4
I saw where another user posted that AutoBlog Should retrieve the Image instead of using the Link. I agree, but ist should be a Per Feed Option. Either way, where can I control the Size of the Image.

    This Feed works: http://green.yahoo.com/rss/news
    THIS Feed Does Not: http://www.gatech.edu/newsroom/rss/?fid=47302

    Hiya,

    Question 1
I Installed FeedWordPress and It Times out on http://www.gatech.edu/newsroom/rss/?fid=47302. This is an RSS Feed? Why can Neither FeedWordPress or AutoBlog Process This Feed?

Something seems to be up with that feed. It takes far too long for it to load and seems to time out a lot:
    http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gatech.edu%2Fnewsroom%2Frss%2F%3Ffid%3D47302

    Question 2
Where can I Change the Layout that Autoblog uses when creating the post? The Image Is Right Next to the Text.

I'm afraid the post is just published as it is in the feed character for character.

    Question 3
Even with the "Use Full Post Enabled I Only Get the Image and the First paragraph, Why?

Some feeds only contain excerpts and not the full post. Make sure this isn't the problem.

    Question 4
I saw where another user posted that AutoBlog Should retrieve the Image instead of using the Link. I agree, but ist should be a Per Feed Option. Either way, where can I control the Size of the Image.

Again, the autoblog plugin just publishes the post exactly as it is in the feed.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

    Andrew,

Thanks for the Response. I was banging my head against the wall for a while thinking Autoblog wasn't working when in fact it was the random Feeds I was using and the expectations I had from using plugins like feedpress. The Feeds where actually good in the browser but there were issues.

Many of these I have begun writing myself. I would be happy to share when Im done but don't want to re-create the wheel or step on anyone's toes.

Final Suggestions and questions for Autoblog that exist in Similar plugins like feedpress

    1. Are there any common news feeds where all the features of Autoblog work as expected?
e.g. Full Article, with Images, and Author in the feed so all the components of Autoblog function as expected?

    2. Needs an Inline way to test the feed similar to feedpress.
    3. Needs a Process Now so can make sure that the filter words are producing the desired results.
    4. Image Management. When an Article Contains an Image Autoblog Links to the Image. It would be nice if Autoblog had a Height width Properties that we applied to all images in the Article. This would avoid weird behavior in the Themes when you you get disproprtionate size Images.
    5. Currently when the Entire Article option is chosen the Title Links to the Post created in the WordpressMU site, and the Image, if it exists, links to Original Article in the News Feed. If the Article does not have an Image there is not a link to the Original Article Unless you invoke the Source Phrase. I looked at the Code an it appears that if Source is !Empty then Autoblog is supposed to Create Link to Original Article
Note: This works fine as Long As you Provide the Phase but not when Source is empty.
    - Something like Checkbox options
    a. Link Image to Original Article if it Exists
    b. Link Source (With Optional Text for the Link)
    6. The Auto Creation of Categories and Tags is great until it starts creating poorly punctuated and capitalized categories from the source
    a. Something like Auto Capitalize Words
    b. Something like Spell Check Categories before they are auto created.
    7. Needs a Timeout setting when feeds are slow
    8. Needs a max Article quantity. This would avoid the mistake of providing no words or filters and suddenly poulating your blog with 50+ articles
