Autoblog image import not working. Whats the proper feed structure to import images?

Feed xml files can be structured in various ways. I want to import the feed content and create posts with a featured image. I am using a child theme built on the Genesis framework. Our xml files contain images as:
<enclosure url="" length="302416" type="image/pjpeg"/>
<media:content medium="image" type="image/pjpeg" url="">...</media:content>

Please provide an example of the feed xml to allow for importing to the media library and setting the image as a featured image. Thanks

    Hello there @Jayson T. Cote, I hope you're well today!
    From what I recall, the Autoblog plugin doesn't handle <media> tags in the feeds.
    Instead, it simply gets the first image that is attached on the body of the content on each article and then sets that image as the featured image.
    Do your images exist in your post's content?

    Please advise,

    HI Ari, I am importing external xml feeds from another provider. I can have them restructure the xml. So the image file needs to be encapsulated within the <description> or <content> tags in the xml file? Also if I select the Featured image add-on, does this also import the images to the media library?

    Can I get an example output for properly structuring the xml in order to import embedded images into the post feed and also use as a featured image?
    What would work with the Autoblog plugin?
    Is this correct:

    <media:content type="image/jpeg" media="image" width="900" height="600" url="">
            <media:description type="plain">An adorable kitten</media:description>
            <media:copyright>Carl Carlson</media:copyright>

    or this:

    Or? Please post example that will allow importing of images and use as featured image, thanks.
