Backup troubleshooting

Hey,

First time using and at the end i get the message:

Gateway Timeout

The gateway did not receive a timely response
from the upstream server or application.

I've given you support access to the site via the support access tab on the site.

Any help, much appreciated.

    I see these in the HTTP response:

    WPMU DEV: GET	cURL error 6: name lookup timed out
    WPMU DEV: POST	cURL error 6: Couldn't resolve host 'premium.wpmudev.org'

    Can you ask your webhost if they are caching DNS lookups at all?

    This, however, is usually a temporary error, it means your server can't resolve the Domain name to it's IP. It will usually clearup itself within 24hrs. There isn't much we can do from our side regarding this.

    Can you wait till tomorrow possibly, hopefully by then it should have cleared up.

    You should be able to tell by going here:

    Dashboard > WPMUDEV > Support

    Then click the System Info button at top, then click the HTTP tab.

    Hey Vaughn,

    Had another crack this morning, something I remembered from having some plugin install issues before was to clear the server cache (which I did) - and worked like a charm! Not sure if the cache had anything to do this time, but all good.
