Batch Limitations: Does all the fields need to be full to work?

Do I have to create a different user for each different site I create? I can’t leave them blank and I can’t have a user already used.

If so this seems very unreasonable if I’m adding thousands of sites that need to have a same user log in.

Also I plan on using the domain mapping, including multiple domain extensions. Do I have to add the site as a subdomain then change it over to the mapped domain.

Does all the fields need to be filled in for the batch to add sites?

    Hi @dirk,

Greetings and thanks for posting on the forums.

Do I have to create a different user for each different site I create?

    Yes

Do I have to add the site as a subdomain then change it over to the mapped domain.

    Yes i think so.

Does all the fields need to be filled in for the batch to add sites?

No it’s not necessary. If you don’t want to enter any information for any field then just add null value in that field column.

I can't just upload the domain name without a user or other info. Attached are screen shots of a list that I upload. It doesn't set up the que with just two domain names on the csv.

Shouldn't the plugin be able to upload just domain names or just user names, also it should be set up for any type of domain name with considerations to the TLD .com, .net, .info, ect.

    Hi @dirk,

    Thank you for your reply.

You can use Batch Create plugin to achieve the following things.

Create user with site and preset password with a default role

Create user with site and auto-generated password with default role

Create user without a site with a preset password

Add user to an existing site with default role

If you don’t add any field information then just add null value in it as specified in my previous reply, don’t just leave it blank.

You will find more information about it on the following pages.

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/batch-create/

    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/batch-create/#usage

You will find the debugging information and the errors in the Batch Create error log on the following path.

Network Admin Area -> Settings -> Batch Create -> Log File Tab

    About the users issue:

You can add the sites with users that already exist but you need to specify the username and email of that user in every row. That way, all those blogs will be created with the same user.

    Does this answer your question?

    Regards.

    Ignacio.

Thank you very much I used the convention you suggested Ignacio and it worked.

Now I wish there would be away to batch upload with domain mapping with TLDs in mind. Because of now you can't upload same name domains or with extensions, they come up invalid.

Also If I upload a thousand domains and want domain mapping so their not sub domains, I would have to go in individually and change the domain name. That would be troublesome and time consuming.

But for now my issues are resolved and I appreciate the help.

Thank NAME, for their help.
