Best way to regenerate multisite htaccess?

I just moved a multisite WP install from Apache on Windows to Apache on Linux. All is good, and works, except I'm reasonably convinced the Windows htaccess file can't be right under Linux. What's the best way to generate a fresh, valid htaccess for a working multisite install?

Is it still okay to just delete the file and wait for it to show back up?

    No don't do that!

ArnoldB is almost spot on concerning this issue.

They should be the same on Windows or Linux assuming it was Apache in both cases and not IIS.

Please advise that you got this working.

Yeah, you're right. I was SO hoping that'd be the problem. I even had the idea that maybe the .htaccess didn't make the transition. But no such luck. It made it over and it's the same.

So my problem is elsewhere. Oh, joy.

    Thanks anyway.
