blog directory for one site

My current multisite is set up as sub-directory ( If I have a website call I want to link my website into my current multisite as or https//
1. How can I setup as sub-domain ( if my multisite already set up as sub-directory for all my user site (salon owner)?
2. In my tab menu call "add a business" how can I setup up a blog directory that just link only to one of my sub-domain.

This sub-domain site is for user site to go in to add and register their business. They have to do this in order for my multisite to assign them a user site for their business.

Thank you very much for your great supports. You guys are awesome!

    Hi CHAD ,

    Hope you're doing well today!

    1) If I understood well your question, you can switch your network from sub-directories to sub-domains. We have a cool article on our blog with a tutorial about this:

However, this will be applied to all sites.

If you want to change one site, maybe the best option is use our Domain Mapping and map the subsite to that sub-domain. Then it will use " " instead of """

I would like to suggest to give a look in the plugin's page to get more information:

    2) Maybe I am not fully understanding the intent, but you want to list just one subsite in the blog directory?

Your "sub-domain" will be a separated site (not a subsite) from your network?

    Cheers, Luís

Luis, seriously, I read back my question and i am confuse too:slight_smile: Sorry that I am not clear:slight_frown:

    1. I already have a separate site (, How can I link that site into one of my network that already setup as sub-directory?

    2. I am using theme Twenty fifteen. On the primary menu bar I have a page called "add salon" How can I create/assign a subsite or a new site for this page?
What I am trying to do is when a new salon owner click on "add salon" then it will take to a new site that have all information about joining my business.

    3. Also on theme Twenty Fifteen. On the footer menu bar I have a page call "salon owner". How can I create/assign a subsite or a new site for this page?
What I am trying to do here is that I would like to set this subsite on this page as a privacy site for salon owners.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello CHAD

For #1 You can try our Domain Mapping plugin:

With this plugin you can map any domain or subdomain to any of your subsite. You need to tweak some configuration though.

#2 and #3 are confusing. They are similar, are not they? You want to add option to create more subsite, right? If that is the case, then you can link those items to from Dashboard > Appearances > Menus.

If I got your wrong, would you please explain again?

    Have a good day!

Thank you for helping to resolve my concern #1 above. I still need help with 2 and 3. Let me explain again.

In my menu bar, I have the following tab (Home, Salon Listings, Deal, Find Job, Add Salon)

My goal is I would like new customer to click on the tab "add salon" to register for new site to be add into the tab "Salon Listing" for site user to view. How can I do that? I already enable blog directory for all sites into "Salon Listing"

also I couldn't click on the link ( that you gave me.

    Hi CHAD ,

    Hope you're doing well today!

Firstly, sorry for the late reply and all the problems it may have caused.

I checked your website and you are using Pro Sites. So, if you want the menu item "Add Salon" to link to register a new site, you can just link it to the Pro Sites page (by default it uses the "/pro-site" slug).

So, users when click in the "Add Salon" menu item, will be redirected to the Pro Sites checkout page, where they can create a site.

However, you need to allow site registration in your network settings, so, please, go to network admin panel -> Settings -> Network Settings and in the "Registration Settings" section, select: "Both sites and user accounts can be registered."

The link shared by my teammate Ashok ( is to link to the default WordPress option, but, as you are using Pro Sites, it this page "wp-signup.php" will redirect to the Pro Sites checkout page too.

I hope this information has been helpful. If I can help you in this or other questions, please let me know!

    Cheers, Luís
