Blog post syndication

How to syndicate to other websites / social networks?

My favorite for Facebook and Twitter is Networked Blogs ( http://www.networkedblogs.com/ ) because it pulls the title, description, and image just like manually posting into Facebook. Also, you can post to Pages, Groups, and Profiles.

However, it doesn't syndicate to other places like Google+, LinkedIn, WordPress.com (JetPack might help), etc.

So that got me thinking... Instead of Networked Blogs or HootSuite ( https://hootsuite.com/ ) PULLING content from my website, is there a plugin where I can PUSH content to my desired syndication targets? I really think this should be on a blog-by-blog basis, not just a social network account level (hope that makes sense).

Any great solutions out there or will you build one?

Thanks!!!

When I first tried Ping.fm a year or so ago, it posted a link to Facebook, but it didn't look like it was posted "natively", which is something they're advertising as a feature in the soon-to-be-non-free Seesmic Ping ( http://blog.seesmic.com/ping.html ) service. So I'm guessing it's not part of Ping.fm, and this feature was specified as a requirement in my initial question.

The WP plugin you linked to hasn't been updated since May 2009 and says it's compatible up to 2.7.1. I'm guessing things in Social Media world have changed enough to warrant a plugin update since 3 years ago. In other words, I don't think I want to try that plugin.

Looking forward to some other potential solutions. Thanks for the help.

    Hello Clifford,

I checked out several other places and I couldn't find anything. There are some things that will do this automatically, but then it wont look like its manually posted.

Since you wanted it to be done a blog by blog level, what you could do is have the Floating Social Plugin installed and then do it manually for each post: https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/floating-social

Now Floating Social may not cater everything you need. For other networks, you could find a Browser bookmarklet and do it from there. Here is a great website where you can find many Bookmarklets: http://marklets.com/Results.aspx

I hope these helps, let me know if I can be of any more assistance!
