Blog Template overwriting menu setting

On the blog template that I have created for my network, I have included a dynamic home link so that when the user opens a new site, the home link in the custom menu should go to their home page. I included the following code in my template's functions.php file in order to accomplish this:

<blockquote>function home_page_menu_args( $args ) {
$args['show_home'] = true;
return $args;
add_filter( 'wp_page_menu_args', 'home_page_menu_args' );</blockquote>

(I got this from this site)

This seems to work ok for the template, but when I create new blogs with the template using Blog and User Creator, the home link for the template blog seems to get copied to all new sites as well, so when I'm in a new site and I click on the home link, instead of going back to the home page for that blog as it should, it takes me to the home page of the template site.

Is there any way to change this to allow the home page link to go to the correct home page instead of the template setting? I have hundreds of sites to create for a large organization and really don't want to have to go back and edit each site individually to get the home link working correctly.

Thanks in advance
