Blogs not created upon registration

I can go through the sign up to create a new blog but the blog doesn't appear to get set up. I can see the new user in the admin and the new blog appears in the network admin site list. All emails are sent for activation and site confirmation.

Two things I see as problems are;
1. The emails sent to activate and confirm show the url as http://www.mysite.comnewstore/ there is not a / between the url and the blog name.
2. There is nothing written to the blog directories when I view them using ftp.

If I can at least get these two items fixed it might help me move closer to making this all work. (BTW. I'm attempting to set up an etsy type sight using sub-directories with multisite, marketpress and pro sites.)

    Greetings loudrake,

    Welcome to WPMU Dev!

Thank you for this great question and bringing this significant issue to our attention.

    1. The emails sent to activate and confirm show the url as http://www.mysite.comnewstore/ there is not a / between the url and the blog name.

There is obviously a missing forward slash somewhere in there and it is deeper then this plugin, The activation email and confirm email are WordPress core functions and are not related to this plugin.

WordPress itself makes the sites without Pro Sites plugin. Pro Sites plugin basically allows you to control the features available to a site creator.

This will take some significant digging into the network admin dashboard and if not found there digging into the database to find where during original setup the domain was included without a forward slash.

    2. There is nothing written to the blog directories when I view them using ftp.

This is almost certainly related to your first question, once that issue is resolved I believe this issue will also be resolved.

In summary, not a single one of these two issues involves the Pro Sites plugin features yet, it is in the core WordPress setup.

Therefore you need to go through the site URL settings in first the dashboard and if it is not found missing there then the database.

    Please advise.

    Cheers, Joe

Just wanted to check back in with an update and not be rude.

I've had the main website up for 6 months and have a lot of traffic (to me) so afraid to mess with forcing a trailing / on the url in the database since everything else is working ok. So I did a new install for marketpress and pro sites into http://stores.mysite.com and have it moving in the right direction.

I set up a couple test stores that get set up as sub-directories and I'm working through the options and set up items so it works the way I want. So far so good. I'll be back if I get stumped.

    Thank you.
