box Overlerlay issues

    Hello Rondell-

    There is a way to make the images darker, by applying a filter to all images with the use of CSS.

    You will need to apply the custom CSS to your child-theme's style.css, or you can use the built-in wordpress Additional CSS option in the customizer, by going to your wordrpess dashboard and find Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS when on the front-end customizer.

    You can also use this free plugin called Simple CSS:

    The ultimate goal would be to apply the CSS in an area that if you were to update your theme it would not get overwritten. See the code below:

    .box p img {
        filter: brightness(50%);

    As for the content in the image overlays. This does not appear to be a style conflict, but rather a content issue. Some of your content has large titles, that has forced the title to break onto the next line forcing the overlay to expand past its container. You may want to consider restructuring your content so that there is more uniformity with all content, or make the text smaller so it all fits in the overlay element without breaking past its container.

    Let me know if this helps!
