Browser Caching – Expiry Time Error?

Just noticed this error message for a client site: “Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in public_html/wp-includes/general-template.php on line 4232”

Can you tell me how I might fix this? Thanks!

    Hello Caitlin

    There are a couple things that could cause this issue, which make it a bit difficult to tell the exact source of the error. Technically, it looks like some error object was passed to a function in general-template.php file while it expects a string.

    I’ve checked the site and browser caching but couldn’t notice above error. If you get the error upon activating a specific plugin/setting, you can first try performing a conflict test by deactivating other plugins except the one being tested to check if anything is conflicting. Enable debugging if not already by adding this to wp-config.php:

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
    define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

    This should record additional errors in ‘debug.log’ file under ‘wp-content’ directory, you can then upload the log file for us and we’ll further look at it.
