Buddypress emails are not working

I am using “WP-Mail-SMTP” and “WP-Better-Emails” to test email functionality and both plugins send emails correctly on my site. However, registration emails from BuddyPress are not being sent. How can I get registration emails to work or debug why they are not working?

    Hey Candace,

    Is this specific to BuddyPress emails?

    For example, if you go to Users panel in your WP admin and create new user with "Send the new user an email about their account." option enabled does the email get sent properly?

    I also did some tests on my installation and with BP active my emails were not going through SMTP so it's quite possible that this is related directly to BP code.

    Can you try creating new user as explained above, once with BP active and once without it, check if the emails are going through and if they do without BP then it would be best getting in touch with their support for more info.
