BuddyPress members can't create or join groups

Some members have the ability to create and join groups and some don't. Even though all of them are subscribers.

    Hi Oscar,

Hope you are doing well.

I have gone through the your site using the test user account access you have provided and also using your admin account. You have two groups links in two different menus. One on the top menu and another one on the main menu.

The top groups link is a custom link which is added in the menu from the buddypress custom links. If you go to your

Admin Dashoboard > Appearance > Menus

then click on Buddypress you will see the link. This link point to specific members groups link like

    https://mysite.org/members/sohag/groups/

and this does not include any create group link

The mega menu groups link is the buddypress page link which enlists all the groups. If you go to your Admin Dashoboard > Appearance > Menus then click on Pages and click on view all you will see the Group page link. This page enlists all the groups and also provides a link for creating a group. This link is like

    https://mysite.org/groups/

To make sure you can test this using a default wordpress theme like twenty sixteen.

If you like to add a create group link you can add that in any of your menu with a link like

    https://mysite.org/groups/create/

please replace the mysite.org with your sites domain.

If you like to add the link to buddypress members navigation menus then this will need some customization and this codex link will help

    https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/members-navigation-menus/

Please let us know if you need any further help.

    Cheers,
    Sohag
