Buddypress Social Them Intro

Using this social theme I have just found that the intro that has the sign in is only displayed on the posts page.
If using a static front page this is not seen when first arriving at the site.
Am I missing something here please? Can the intro be added to all pages!

    Hi @David H

    This type of customization requires edits to the theme templates. So you'll want to make these changes in the child-theme, then upload and activate that. This way, you won't lose your customizations when you update the theme.

    Download the theme to your computer, and open the bp-social/themes folder. Inside you'll see a folder called bp-social-child. Upload that folder to the wp-content/themes folder of your site and enable that theme.

    If you want to add custom styles to the child-theme, open bp-social-child/_inc/css/child-style-sample and change that filename to child-style. Then add your custom style rules to that file and upload to your site.

    To get the sign-in intro (top-header) onto all pages in your child-theme, copy the header.php file from the parent to the child. Then, in the child-theme's header.php, scroll down to about line 274. You'll see this:

    <?php if( ( !is_user_logged_in() || wpmudev_is_customize_preview() ) && is_home() ) {  locate_template( array('lib/templates/wp-template/top-header.php'), true ); } ?>

    Simply remove the && is_home() condition from that line, so it becomes this:

    <?php if( ( !is_user_logged_in() || wpmudev_is_customize_preview() ) ) {  locate_template( array('lib/templates/wp-template/top-header.php'), true ); } ?>

    Hope this helps! And thanks for being a member :slight_smile:
