Business Theme widget areas

I hope this is just me, but I can't get some simple stuff to work in this theme.

This post page has a box for widgets, its asking me to be logged in which I am. I can't get anything to show up in its widget area. http://www.lexingtonsewage.com/?p=30

The home page seems to be cancelling out html code when its pulling posts for display. I don't want it doing that, how do I stop it from doing that. http://www.lexingtonsewage.com/

The same thing is maybe happening in the welcome section. I can't format the text with paragraphs.

Please advise. I built this site after my home was flooded with the citys sewage for the second time this year and I'm getting media attention but this theme is giving me a lot of grief.

    Hiya!

    Sorry you're having trouble, I'm sure there's an easy solution...

    Okay, with this simply log into the backend, go to Appearance > Widgets and you'll see a sidebar called "Blog sidebar" like this;

    Simply drop widgets into there and they'll appear alongside your blog posts. Let me know if that doesn't happen as shown here:

    Chances are that's actually WordPress - it loves to filter out HTML that it deems unnecessary! Can you explain to me exactly how you're adding that HTML to your posts?

    Sorry to hear about the sewage! Here's hoping the site helps to get the issue sorted!

    Cheers,
