Button Color (Join now, Search, Log In)

Very simple question; but aside from editing the stylesheet, is there any easier way to edit the button color? (for the Search, Join & Log In buttons)

Would it be necessary to create a Child Theme to make the color change stick? (for if/when the Network theme gets an update).

Thanks! url is http://chiefhoser.com (seriously!)

    Hiya KZRanch,

    Just to mention in case you didn't notice it, Network theme actually provides a number of included presets at Network Theme > Preset Styles, which change the button colors accordingly.

    That said, ultimately, utilizing a child theme really is the optimal way to edit those types of things. There are plugins you could use to add css rules but the child theme is the neatest and generally most efficient way to go about it.

    That said, you could try changing the colors using something like this:

    #header .button { background: #f00; }
    #header .button:hover { background: #f00; }
    input[type="button"], input[type="submit"] { background: #f00; }
    input[type="button"]:hover, input[type="submit"]:hover { background: #f00; }

    You can of course alter the #f00 color as you like. :slight_smile:

    Hope that helps!
