Can not remove the sub intro text under the featured block

For some reason I can not remove the text at all.
It is the text under the featured block.
(Your Network sub intro post text you can insert post text for the sub intro on homepage)
if I remove it and hit save it comes right back. If I change it and then delete what I changed it inputs the default text again.

While not related is there no way to make the links in the featured slider clickable?? that is really uncool if it isn';t possible as I was getting exited about this theme

And lastly, are you all testing us with the no cursor in your post box?? Hard to know where the heck you are typing at until something pops up.

i am guessing as soon as I update the them I will lose those to changes?

And the post box if the one I am typed my original post in. There was no cursor line blinking.

Going to check these two out now.

    Thanks for your help!

Slider link works good. The title isn't a link but the image is. And the line was 441.

The other change didn't get rid of the text nor allow me to delete it.

This is the text that is there by default.

<span>more info text can be input here...more</span>

I may eventually want something there so I would like the option to add something later on but for the moment I would like to remove it.

This is edited on the homepage tab under theme options. I have gone over all the different areas to see if it was part of some other setting and nothing seems to make a difference.
Is this an issue for others or just me?

Maybe there is something I have wrong or some plug in screwing things up?

I had gone back to the blogs MU theme and tried the code mentioned here to get the slider working as links to the posts but it didn't seem to work this gone round. I copied the reply with the code below. Please let me know what I need to use to get this working again.

Note: I am using the Blogs MU child theme so if I need to create a directory or add a file to it then make changes please map that out for me. Thank you!

    Hiya Rick,

Sorry, sometimes these older ones get overlooked by accident.

I want to make sure I'm on the same page here. Are you using the featured slider posts option?

What version of WP, BuddyPress, and BlogsMU are you running? The latest version of BlogsMU has the exact same code, but it's now on lines 573 of the functions.php

That I know of, it's not possible to replicate this function in the child theme. You have to do it in the parent theme.

    Thanks!

hey no worries. I had asked about this in another thread but someone mentioned that I should ask it here which had the original info.

I have all the newest versions (not a fun thing moving to 3.2 with buddypress).

I am currently using the featured Category option which I thought I was using before as it would be easy to simply put the posts you want into a category when making them. then they show up automatically.

I used the original code noted in this thread in that parent theme's function.php and didn't get links. I will have to check it out again to see if maybe I just didn't do something correctly.

Would be a great option to have the links already there when showing posts in the slider. Maybe that can be added?
