Can't edit product attribute slugs

Hi there,
In multisite I am having trouble Quick editing product attributes + having problem with wrong product attributes slugs on the sub site.

1) I cannot quick edit the product attributes. The page just "jumps" and doesn't open the quick edit option.

2) On main site I have this size attribute: 62/3 months with slug 62-3-months. As a sub to this attribute I have 68/4 months with slug 68-4-months.

However on sub site the slug for 68/4 months turn into 68-4-months-62-3-months e.g. adding the parent slug.

this is causing a lot of problems in regards to the products and all in all just shouldn't happen.

What is wrong?

    Hey there Maria,

hope you're doing good and thanks for reaching us!

You're referring to WooCommerce plugin, is that right? Please advise!

    1) I cannot quick edit the product attributes. The page just "jumps" and doesn't open the quick edit option.

This may be a conflict issue. Can you try to deactivate all other plugins apart from WooCommerce, revert to a default theme like TwentySeventeen and give that another try? If the issue resolves, activate them back one-by-one until you get the conflicted combination. Here's a nice flow chart for a generic conflict test

    2) On main site I have this size attribute: 62/3 months with slug 62-3-months. As a sub to this attribute I have 68/4 months with slug 68-4-months.

Could you grant support access for us to see these issues "in action"? You can do so via WPMUDEV Dashboard plugin as described here (no need to share credentials)

    1. Already done. Issue persists.
    2. Yes. Granted.

Oh - On all newly added product size attributes it seems possible to change slug on sub site, but on the older size attributes it returns this error: Item not updated.

    Hello Maria

    1. Thanks for granting us access. It seems that there's an error coming from WooCommerce Multisite plugin when you click on "quick edit" of an attribute term.
quick-edit.js?ver=1486299319:16 Uncaught ReferenceError: inlineEditPost is not defined
I'm sure that if you try to disable it and clear any caches, the quick edit link will work. Is this the plugin you're using? https://woomultistore.com/product/woocommerce-multistore/
I'd rather advise to contact its author(s) about this conflict as this surpasses the scope of our support forums. https://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/using-wpmu-dev/support-vs-custom-development/

    2. I just tried that in my local test installation, creating the exact same attribute names/slugs.

Slugs of child attribute seems to be correct. Could you please re-try the conflict test as described above? It seems that the error is related to your setup as I can't reproduce it.

Oh - On all newly added product size attributes it seems possible to change slug on sub site, but on the older size attributes it returns this error: Item not updated.

Could you please point to me some "new" and "old" attributes to see that?
Also, please use the support notes field in network admin area under WPMUDEV -> Support to provide some admin credentials for your mapped subsite as it redirects me to the login page each time I try to reach it.

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris

    Hello Maria,

hope you're doing good today!

I just accessed your website and noticed that there're no size attributes at all!
    YOUR-DOMAIN.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=pa_size&post_type=product
Are you re-building those? Please advise!

That's the exact plugin we are using and it is buggy.

Have you considered finding an alternative for that?
This may also cause the attribute slug issue as I was unable to replicate this locally. Could you please try to deactivate it and re-try rebuilding your attributes?

    Warm regards,
    Dimitris
