cloudflare and .htaccess

Hi,

Does cloudflare place any info in the .htaccess file for wordpress sites?

    Hi Corn,

    Hope you’re well?

No, with Cloudflare, you simply change the DNS at your webhost to use cloudflare DNS, and then it reroutes for you.

Some plugins may place code in htaccess, but cloudflare doesn’t need any special code to work itself.

    Hope this helps

    Hi cornelius_butler,

It depends. If you manually point your domains to Cloudflare nameservers and host your DNS with them, then usually you don’t need to add anything in your .htaccess file.

If you use any plugin for Cloudflare integration, then that plugin might add something in your .htaccess file. Again it depends.

Please let us know if you have any confusion. We will be glad to help further.

    Have a nice day. Cheers!

    Rupok
