    Hi Henry

    How are you today?
    Sorry to hear that you are having this issue, I need some more information to try to help you.
    First wouldn't you mind please to perform a theme testing?
    Remember, please run this test in a stating website, if you can't please provide a full backup.
    Please, active on of the default WordPress theme, like Twenty Seventeen and see if you get the same issue, you can find more about theme and plugin test here:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#chapter-2

    Wouldn't you mind also to enable debug mode, access the root WordPress folder, look for the wp-config.php, right above /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ you can use this code:

    // Turn debugging on
    define('WP_DEBUG', true);

    // Tell WordPress to log everything to /wp-content/debug.log
    define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);

    // Turn off the display of error messages on your site
    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);

    // For good measure, you can also add the follow code, which will hide errors from being displayed on-screen
    @ini_set('display_errors', 0);

    You can see the more about debug mode here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/debugging-wordpress-how-to-use-wp_debug/

    Try to install any plugin, and a debug.log will be generated in the wp-content folder, please send the debug log as attached content or past the results.

    Let us know the results,
    Have a great day
    Best Regards,
    Patrick Freitas
