There's a cost structure I'm trying to achieve, and I THINK I might be able to combine Membership and Pay-Per-View to achieve this, but the logic appears to be just beyond my grasp. Advice would be welcome.
I have videos on my site (well, just one test video at the moment).
I am thinking I can use Membership to create three levels of membership to the site:
1. Just visiting unidentified person
2. Registered User (but not paid subscription)
3. User who has paid for a subscription for, say a month.
Then, let's say they hit a video display page. They are offered options based on their membership level:
If membership level 1, then they can watch the video for $1.00 for 24-hour access to that movie. If membership level 2, then they can watch the video for $0.50 for 24-hour access to that movie. If membership level 3, then they can watch the video for free.
This might change with different videos. A feature-length movie might be:
Membership level 1: $5.99 for 24-hour access to that movie.
Membership level 2: $4.99 for 24-hour access to that movie.
Membership level 3: $0.99 for 24-hour access to that movie.
Can you recommend a workflow using Membership and PPV that can achieve something like this? I admit I'm a little lost trying to figure it out.
