Comments plus showing but not working

Hi I can't get the plugin to work

I added
<?php do_action('comment_form_before'); ?>
<?php do_action('comment_form_after'); ?>

It displays the facebook link but it's not working :slight_smile: I'm not sure what's wrong

    Hi vmobile and first off, welcome to WPMU DEV!

    Sorry you're experiencing a bit of trouble there, we'll see how we can get that cleared up. Are you using just the Facebook commenting feature, and not the other commenting options?

    If so, I just thought I should mention, the Ultimate Facebook plugin provides Facebook commenting as well as a number of other Facebook specific capabilities, as follows:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/ultimate-facebook

    In any case, if you've got just the Facebook option selected, could you try disabling that one option and seeing how the comments section displays with one of the others, like the standard WordPress commenting option?

    Also, I'm seeing the 'FB is not defined' error in Chrome's inspector. Do you by any chance have the "Skip loading Facebook javascript" option ticked in the settings at Settings > Comments Plus?

    Hi David,

    Thanks for your reply ... However, it's still not working ... I tried Ultimate Facebook and it didn't change the comment box ...

    This is the code for the comments area of the template

    <?php comments_template(); ?>
    <div class="hidden"><?php wp_list_comments(); ?></div>
    <?php next_comments_link(); previous_comments_link(); ?>
    <div class="hidden"><?php comment_form(); ?></div>
    <?php do_action('comment_form_before'); ?>
    <?php do_action('comment_form_after'); ?>

    I also checked these
    -- If checked, Facebook comments will be used instead of, or in addition to, regular WordPress comments.

    -- By default, Facebook comments will appear in addition to WordPress comments.
    Check this box if you wish to disable WordPress comments, but still allow Facebook Comments.
    Note: if you enable this option, Facebook Comments will always appear, disregarding any WordPress settings.

    Hiya vmobile,

    Apologies for the delayed response. If you're interested, I believe the Facebook comments can work we just need to re-order the lines as you pasted above. Try the following:

    <?php do_action('comment_form_before'); ?>
    <?php comments_template(); ?>
    <div class="hidden"><?php wp_list_comments(); ?></div>
    <?php next_comments_link(); previous_comments_link(); ?>
    <div class="hidden"><?php comment_form(); ?></div>
    <?php do_action('comment_form_after'); ?>

    Let us know. Thanks!
