Conditionally Display a POPUP to IE8 Users

I need to conditionally display a popup to users of the IE8 browser telling them the site is not going to work so well and use a different browser. Can you offer any assistance to allow me to use this plugin to accomplish this?

    Hi Ian!

PopUpPro doesn't have a browser check built in, but I do know of another plugin that could help here, and it's free.

It was updated less than a month ago, so it's still actively maintained. I did a quick test with a browser emulator (which is as only as good as the emulator) and it worked for me. It's a tiny little plugin, the primary .php file is only 2k. I have pop up pro enabled on that site, as well, and they don't seem to conflict with each other.

You could also do this programmatically, either by extending PopUp Pro, or by writing a browser detection script and conditional message to display, but I think the Advanced Browser Check plugin will be the quickest way to get what you want.

    Thanks for your question!
