Configure the Membership Pro Registration form

I want to use the membership pro plugin but having a little difficulty trying to figure out how to reconfigure the registration form. I need to customize the registration form to include inputs such as: Company; First Name; Last Name; Email; Phone; Select Type of Firm; Size of Firm, etc. Here is a link to a site that I would like to emulate for the registration form, http://www.harpethmarketing.com/i-hate-selling-part-2/.

    Hello Robin,
I hope you're having an awesome day!

You can add custom registration fields in M2 signup form by using cimy user extra fields plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/cimy-user-extra-fields/

You can also entirely disable Membership 2 Registration form and use your own custom registration page for signup by using one of plugins below.
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/profile-builder/
    http://www.gravityforms.com/add-ons/user-registration/

If I can help you in this or other questions, please let me know!

    Warm regards,
    Denitsa

    Hello there Robin,
    I trust you're well!

To use the register page provided by M2 you need to verify the settings under Membership 2 -> Settings -> General. You can select if you want the Registration page to appear in your navigation there and also choose which page to provide for registration, view and edit that page.

Additionally you can enable the Profile Fields add on under Membership 2 -> Add-ons -> Profile Fields.

This will make a Profile FIelds tab with various settings regarding form fields appear under Membership 2 -> Settings.

There's a section here under Step Three regarding the use of third party plugins for registration
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/membership/#usage

I hope this helps! If you have any additional issues, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.

    All the best,
    Denitsa

    Hi Denitsa,

Thank you. Sorry for asking for additional help, but I have a more specific question about login. I would like the registration page once it is filled in by the client to automatically redirect it to the page where I want my protected content to be. Right now it redirects me to somewhere else. That is too cumbersome for my client. I want it to go directly to the page where I place the protected content on.

I can't seem to figure out how to do that. Is it possible to do so with this plugin?

    Thanks,
    Robin

    Hello Denitsa!,

I must say that I am very frustrated with this plugin. I have spent an entire week trying to configure what is supposed to be a simple process for a login registration page, that simple is to cumbersome to work.

I have asked for tutorials on the plugin settings and I have received very little information. I also looked on youtube to find anything but very little is out there.

I am seriously considering dumping WPMU altogether since I am finding very little value in the products offered and the lack of support provided.

I am asking one more time for the necessary explicit and detailed tutorial on how to use membership pro 2. Please provide as soon as possible what I need. I have a client that is not too happy right now because he is waiting for a registration page I cannot make work.

    Thank you!
    Robin

    Hey Robin,

Hope you are doing good today.

At the moment, the only doc available regarding setting up the plugin is under the product usage page:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/membership/#usage

I would like the registration page once it is filled in by the client to automatically redirect it to the page where I want my protected content to be. Right now it redirects me to somewhere else. That is too cumbersome for my client. I want it to go directly to the page where I place the protected content on.

Sorry to know that you are having issues with making the plugin work, there isn't any out of the box settings available in the plugin to redirect users after registration. As a workaround, you can assign that protected page as Thank-you Page, under Membership 2 > Settings > General > Membership 2 Pages

So once the user registers they'll redirected to that assigned page, I hope this works for you, if not please do let us know, so that I could check this with the developer to see whether we could have any quick workaround according to your configuration

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
