Connecting user/pass to all 256 databases

I have done everything up until connecting main user/pass to all 256 databases. I simply do not know how to do it. Can someone explian me how I can do it? Either cpanel, SSH, PHP Script?
I am running on a full dedicated server with all possible access.

If you are running a cpanel server then this is vrery easy.

Simply open phpmyadmin but from WHM and not the cpanel account

You will see a tab called privlages. Simply select the user you should have already created in cpanel and grant global privelages.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Cool it worked!

I have everything done and happy!

    Just 1 big question.

I created a new blog and looks like my system is working since I dont see the tables on the former database so it had to go into 1 of the 256.

How can I find out in which database BLOG 3 is located, by ex. ?

There is no way to see some details like these?

Well your doing better than me

Each time a blog is created it can end up in any database at random.

Im sure there is a way but would probably involve a sql command and is out of my skill level. I would just be glad that its working and it was pain free lol

If you want to search for blog specific tables just remember if the blog is number 3 then tables would be wp_3 and so on.

    Another one...

If I change the DB User's Password for security purposes. In which file do I have to update it?

Need to make sure I still have a connection to all 256 DB.

I looked at my wp-config file and everything still teh same with former DB/USER/PASS

I really wonder what file is causing the new sites to be split into 256 DB.

    Thanks for clarifying.

@Kimberly thanks for the pressies

All database settings in wp-config are bypassed by your db-config

If you ever wish to change username and password you would do it on a server level then change all the username and password fields in your db-config

Simply use the great tool supplied on the plugin usage page in order to save time.
